You might have an install team or you might be installing these yourself, either way it's helpful to know what comes in the box! We know that an installer might unbox and install your boards for you, however, it's important to know if anything during the install process was misplaced.

The built in operating system is called the ViewBoard OS. Even if you plan on using a different computer such as a Chromebox, built in PC or other external device, there are some important settings you'll want to ensure are configured during deployment.

• Overview of the ViewBoard OS settings

• What settings we recommend changing/updating

• How to clone settings from one board to the next

As mentioned before, perhaps you purchased a Chromebox, Built in PC or will have teachers connect their devices to the ViewBoard. We'll quickly cover the various ways these devices connect to and interact with the ViewBoard.

• How a built in PC works on the ViewBoard

• How a an external Chromebox connects to the ViewBoard

• How to ensure laptops and other devices are connected correctly

• Wireless casting options

As part of your purchase of ViewSonic hardware, your sales rep should have already created an Entity account for you. If you don't believe this to be accurate, please use the "Contact Us" form to reach out for help.

Entity Management allows you to create myViewBoard accounts for your teachers via Single Sign On using your domain emails. This is an important step in supporting teachers in using their ViewBoards and the Whiteboard Software. In addition Entity Management helps you manage various aspects of the ViewBoard hardware and myViewBoard software remotely.

• How to verify your entity account

• Enable Single Sign On and sync users

• Enable/disable Cloud Services

Without myViewBoard Whiteboard, the panels become a fancy projector with touch. Whiteboard is a key tool in helping teachers adopt, and get the most out of their new ViewBoards. It's import that you know how to install Whiteboard and activate it. We'll also discuss some basics of how Whiteboard will be used by teachers. It's important, even as IT, that we understand how the software works with the hardware. Please NOTE that as of September 1st, 2022 Whiteboard NO LONGER REQUIRES ACTIVATION. Please ignore any mention of activation while we update our resources.

In this section we'll cover the following:

• Installing Whiteboard depending on the type of devices you have

• Whiteboard software basics and how it's used

Part of your ViewBoard purchase includes access to myViewBoard Manager. This software allows some basic remote management control over your ViewBoards. If your district purchased Advanced Manager licenses, we'll also explore what the means and the additional features 

In this section we'll cover the following:

• Enrolling devices into Manager

• Remote control of devices including remote desktop

• Creation of device profiles

• Creation of recurring or one time jobs

• Broadcasting message, media and digital signage

• Run Usage Reports and Activity Logs
